My Christ candle is lit. My heart is broken. The nation and the world is devastated by the tragedy in Connecticutt today. Our precious children taken suddenly in the wink of an eye right from their small, close-knit school to be with our Lord. Pray for them and most assuredly for their families.
I cry with everyone who is living this nightmare from near and far today. We all feel so helpless. We have only one sure course - pray.
I'm supposed to be decorating for the celebration of my Lord's birthday. I'm interrupted by horrific news of the senseless slaughter of our precious, innocent angels. I haven't been able to work. My heart hurts. My stomach is upset. all I can do is cry. I can not begin to comprehend this nor feel what those families must be going through tonight.
One thing I've decided to do is to dedicate my Christmas to children - More than usual, using child–friendly decor. My teddy bears, comic characters, etc.
America, we must wake up and tend to our neighbor's business when they are dysfunctional, look for areas of vulnerability in our youth, and make precautions for the safety of our children. We must deal with areas of brokenness in our nation, states, cities, towns, and neighborhoods. We can no longer say it is none of our business.
We are all broken and all need each other. I love you and I pray for us. May those sweet little ones frolic with Jesus on His birthday this year.

Amen and Amen
