Christmas!
This card I made for you features a wreath I designed and created for friends at church. I wanted to show it to you so I decided just to make it into a Christmas card. Here is a close up of the bow:

This style of bow is so glamourous IMO. I can say that because I learned to do by asking lots of questions at a Carnelius Florist in Houston about a million years ago. The great thing about it is, you can use up all those last ends of rolls of ribbon. Mabye I'll do a tutorial sometime. I've taught it in workshops and believe me, everyone learns to do it. . . and everyone likes it.
Speaking of Christmas cards (were we?):
Card designed and stamped by Chris Fitzgerald
Every year my sweet friend, Chris Fitzgerald puts together a wonderful hand stamped greeting card. She is also quite the accomplished stamp carver so I could only guess if she carved any of the images in this particular scene. I feel very lucky to be on her list for Christmas cards. Thanks, Chris.
Card designed by Deryn Mentock with her own art and photography.
Don't you love that beautiful card by my good buddy, Deryn Mentock? That photography is what Deryn does best -- cemetery photos. I love all of her photography and her sense of design is impecable. Thanks so much, Deryn.
I received many more cards, of course, from my friends and relatives (thank you all) but these were the only ones created by my artist friends. Everyone is so busy these days and the time rushed by so quickly that I don't know how any of us managed to get Christmas card art done. I'll show you the cards I made in my next post. Oh, yes, I made cards -- of course, my gifts aren't wrapped and my food isn't made but I made arty cards! LOL.
Gift from my friend, Darla Wilkerson
Just thought I'd show you the first gift I've opened this year. What a delightful surprise. Travel Scrabble. I know -- you guys know all about this and have had one for years -- but this is my first and I didn't even know they had such a cool thing as this one.
Isn't this so cool? It's built into its own neat-o little binder and has a place to snap everything in. You can even fold it up and zip it closed in the middle of a game.
Not only do the tiles snap on the board but the tile holders had little lids you can close and their own special place to snap them in under the board.
Wow! I love the whole idea - and I absolutely love to play scrabble. I have the Words Free app on my iPhone so if anyone wants to play online, just let me know or start a game with Sallyt1 (rmember to use the capital S) and email me to tell me you did. Woohoo! Let's play.
Madonna Stamp Card designed and created by Barbara Tyson
Hope you are enjoying your Christmas Eve eve, I am. But now I guess I better go wrap the rest of the presents. Seriously. Nite nite.
Merry Christmas Sally T
