Hello!! I am glad you are feeling a bit better, or at least thinking yourself into feeling better!!

The pictures of your cousin just make my hair stand on end!!

I THINK that is a Yellow Burmese Python--GROSS!!EEEEEEEKKKKKKKK!!!

"I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me." --That is my mantra,my chant, and the one sentence that has gotten me through everything in life. Just keep repeating it!!

Well, I have to go get snake visions out of my brain...ewwww.lol

Hey girlfriend, I hope you are doing art today or tomrrow. Sometimes you just have talk yourself out of the funk but doing ART does the trick sometimes too. I know.

Carolyn Mallin

Glad to see that you're back. And with a "charming" post. HAHA. Your cousins book sounds interesting and I do believe I'll have to order it.
I've been in a funk myself and my best way of dealing with it,besides many prayers, is to read, read and read. Hopefully, things will get better soon and I'll be back at my blog too.

I bought it and it's wonderful so far! I haven't finished it because I was side tracked by a vampire book series!

Sally -

Welcome back to the blogosphere - I have missed you! I am so glad to hear you are back and creating again, and I am sorry you have been in a funk (this "funkiness" seems to be a widespread epidemic right now). I have learned that much of the time God uses these "funks" to speak to our hearts, giving us an opportunity to just be still and know He is God. It is not always a fun process, but the result is a heart that has been beautifully refined.

Your cousin sounds so interesting - what a fascinating life he leads! I love to read about people who are able to just up and go, having amazing adventures along the way. Very cool!

As far as your surgery goes, I'm sorry you have to go through that - no fun at all! I did it when I was 30, and I can tell you that recovery is all about the attitude you you take with you into the operating room.

I will be thinking of you my friend! God bless you -

:-) Molly

Sam Haynes

Howdy,I'm an old friend of Jamie's from his days at Weschester High School. I travel a great deal from Singapore to Burma to Hong Kong and throughout the Philippines. I just returned from Malaysia and I plan to head back to the area after visiting some Aussie friends. I would like to see Bali..do you have the name of his restaurants? Or contact info for Jaimie so I can find my old friend. I did enjoy his piece on KraKatoa which prompted me ro read Simon Winchester's book by the same name.He was my old debate partner way back when..my name is Sam Haynes.

Michael Thelen

Sam, I see we're on the same trail.

I've never been to the Far East, but I'd like to get in touch with Jamie too.

Also from those hellish high school days.
