What Do You Collect?

Have you been keeping up with "THE PULSE?" Seth Apter is the talented mixed media artist who is taking the pulse of 95 artists in the online community. His blog, The Altered Page, is a veritable who's who of today's online art scene. Some of his favorite or most interesting of artists or art work will be spotlighted in one of Seth's posts. Periodically, he reaches out with what he calls The Pulse and interviews or otherwise requests information and pictures from a group of artists.

About The Pulse, Seth says, "This collaborative project aims to

• introduce you to new artists,
• help you get to know familiar faces even more, and
• allow you access into the creative hearts and minds of a very talented crew of individuals."

Currently, Chapter Three of The Pulse is being shared through posts at The Altered Page. You will find links to the first two chapters in the sidebar there. On Monday, Seth started posting answers to a 7 question survey completed by 95 artists. Today was the first post of the Show & Tell section of that survey.

The pictures and answers in this first show and tell are in response to this survey question from Seth:

"Show and Tell. SHOW us one photograph of the object or objects that you collect and TELL us how your collection(s) came to be and/or what they mean to you. Feel free to include any anecdote about how you might have found/bought any of your treasures."
