ArtFULL Mail Call

Sarahcard2me
Greeting Card by Sarah Fishburn

My cool art friend, Sarah Fishburn, surprised me with a little bundle of art fun. When I opened her arted-up package, I found several goodies. Like this wonderful ATC with a mica covered vintage image along with a cute little "Happy Year of the Rat" mini postcard:

[Were any of you born in the Chinese Year of the Rat?]

The trouble with being in the rat race is that
even if you win, you're still a rat. ~Lily Tomlin

but I digress . . .

Sarah sent along even more incredible art. Look at these fantastic artful postcards:

And the whole thing was inserted into this fantastic, way cool wrapper! I love this, Sarah.

I noticed a detail about Sarah's envelope, too. You know, it's all in the details! She cleverly stamped my initial on a postage stamp and use it as an illuminated capital in the address on the envelope:

Sarahaddresses

Isn't that a most clever tidbit? That creativity is like Sarah.

The fact is, Sarah, I love all your creative, edgy art. Send anything you want to me any time -- I'm a huge fan.

Be sure to check out Ragtags, Sarah's blog, where you will run into all kinds of entertaining bits and pieces and lots of luscious arty eye candy. Oh, and if you go there right away, you can check out the web site she has linked there for building your vocabulary while helping to get free rice for the United Nations World Food Program! But be careful, that site is addictive and fun!

Of course, I adore Sarah's art and all of her goings-on at her web sites. She is also an artist at the Art Pub Studios. And equally prolific and skillful is her writing! She and Angela Cartwright  have authored a beautiful, fun book, In This House. (I hear they are working on another one as we speak.) Then in their spare time, they publish a QUART -- Quality Art Zine --  Pasticcio -- which is maybe the most fun of all. Besides seeing REALLY quality art from all kinds of artists, known and unknown -- but also lots of really interesting articles, iinterviews, and fun and games - as well as some primo links for various sights of interest to artist. Go on over to Sarah or Angela's web site and find the link to get their latest issue.

They were sweet enough to show another piece of mine in issue 2:

Now, if you are wondering why Sarah just sent me all that fantastic art -- just out of the clear blue sky... well, she admitted that she was trying to butter me up so she could win the offer for a copy of the Arte Ed Anima 2008 Art Calendar which I have posted about on my Art Pub Studios blog. Sarah, of course, went WAY beyond the requirements for getting her name in the hat for that calendar. (Sarah, maybe it will help - but I doubt it unless you have some good karma due you. LOL -- um-m-m, but just in case, you better send more art!!)) So a-a-anyway, all of you should jump on over to my Art Pub blog and see how easy it is to get in the running for that calendar give-away offer. And while you are there, check out the other goings-on in the blogs of all the fantastic artists at Art Pub Studios.
